-Experimental Research: Explores cause and effect relationships
-Experimental Group: Exposes participants to the treatment 

Control Group:Comparison for evaluating the effect. Experimenters compare the experimental group to the control group to determine if the treatment had an effect.

Survey Method: 
              -The Bad: Low response rate, people lie, misinterpret themselves

Hawthorne Effect: The fact that you know you are in an experiment can cause change. (but the control group may even cause changes)

Correlation Method: Correlation expresses a relationship between two variables, it doesn't show causation.
                   -Ranges from -1 to +1, relationships get weaker the closer it gets to 0
